It increases the height of the passenger compartment by a further 34 mm. It is now even easier to load up and climb into the vehicle. Both the electric sliding doors and the electrically operated rear lid can be opened using a foot gesture – without taking the key out of your pocket. “Keyless Advanced” and “Easy Open” make it possible.

The new Caravelle eHybrid brings together an 85kW electric motor and a 130kW 1.5 TSI engine, so you can enjoy the flexibility of combined power. An adventure in the mountains, a zero-CO2 local drive to work, or a spontaneous family outing; the new Caravelle eHybrid will take you almost everywhere.
With 4MOTION all-wheel drive, traction and control are always on your side, and you’ve got a towing capacity of up to 1,570kg for extra versatility. Charging couldn’t be easier – simply plug in to a home charging wall box overnight for a full charge in around five and a half hours.

A 16-channel Ethernet amplifier. 8 high-end loudspeakers. A full 840 watts of audio power. The optional premium sound system from Harman Kardon1 turns the Caravelle eHybrid into a special kind of audio experience. Meticulously adapted to the interior, the system produces a voluminous but always precisely defined sound. The acoustic fine tuning is controlled using the Fraunhofer Sonamic Panorama algorithm, which separates the individual sources of a stereo recording and distributes them evenly on a U-shaped sound stage for a captivating and skin-tingling surround sound.

When you sit in the driver's seat you’re surrounded by modern technology of the highest level. The first thing you’ll notice is the 26.0-cm (10.25-inch) Digital Cockpit - regardless of the equipment line you choose. With heating, cooling and ventilation: The Caravelle eHybrid has excellent air conditioning. The Climatronic allows precise climate control in three zones, because often it’s too hot for one person while the other is freezing.
Air conditioning system
Hotter or colder? Turn the blower up or down? Blow air at the windscreen or rather on your legs? The air conditioning system with manual regulation can be adjusted quickly and intuitively to your wishes using a slider. The direct access button module opens additional air conditioning functions that you can easily select on the colour touch display.

Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system
The fully automated 3-zone Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system maintains the set temperatures for the driver, the front passenger and rear passengers. It is operated via the touch bar and the central display, where you will find several predefined air conditioning programs. You just need to press the corresponding button to quickly de-ice the windscreen on a winter morning or to cool the interior on a hot summer day. An additional control panel in the passenger compartment can also be used to adjust the temperature in the rear seat rows.
Seat heating
It’s nice and comfortable to travel with seat heating. This is nothing new for the driver and front passenger. But it is for passengers in the passenger compartment. If they are in one of the outer individual seats in the Caravelle eHybrid, they can now warm up their seat cushions. Live external rails make it possible.

Auxiliary heater
The auxiliary heater is particularly useful for commuters who set off early every morning. Using the remote control, you can simply set a timer to warm up the interior a few minutes before you go. IQ.Drive details
Your assistant on the motorway
The Caravelle eHybrid makes your life even easier – especially on the road. That’s because it now features the latest generation of intelligent driver assist systems. IQ.DRIVE is the catch-all term for all the systems that communicate with each other or with other road users. These systems are another big step on the road to autonomous driving.
Travel Assist combines the functions of ACC, Lane Assist and Side Assist. On motorways and well-marked cross-country roads, Travel Assist can automatically keep you in lane and maintain a steady speed of up to 210 km/h for more relaxed driving. Among other things, Emergency Assist combines the lane keeping function of Lane Assist with the Stop and Go functions of Adaptive Cruise Control. This means potential dangers can be reduced if the driver is suddenly impaired. If there is no activity on the accelerator, brake or steering, the system can initially react with an acoustic warning and vibrations. If there is still no reaction, Emergency Assist activates the hazard warning lights and slows the vehicle to a stop, then drives it to the side of the road. The doors are then unlocked.

This system generates an audible warning if it detects obstacles in front of or behind the vehicle when parking, and also provides a visual display of the distance to these obstacles.
Electronic parking brake with Auto Hold function
This system can be activated and released by means of a switch when the vehicle is stationary. When driving, the Auto Hold function can prevent the vehicle from accidentally rolling away – without requiring your foot on the brake.

Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system
The fully automated 3-zone Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system maintains the set temperatures for the driver, the front passenger and rear passengers. It is operated via the touch bar and the central display, where you will find several predefined air conditioning programs. You just need to press the corresponding button to quickly de-ice the windscreen on a winter morning or to cool the interior on a hot summer day. An additional control panel in the passenger compartment can also be used to adjust the temperature in the rear seat rows.
Seat heating
It’s nice and comfortable to travel with seat heating. This is nothing new for the driver and front passenger. But it is for passengers in the passenger compartment. The Caravelle eHybrid makes your life even easier – especially on the road. That’s because it now features the latest generation of intelligent driver assist systems. IQ.DRIVE is the catch-all term for all the systems that communicate with each other or with other road users. These systems are another big step on the road to autonomous driving.
Travel Assist combines the functions of ACC, Lane Assist and Side Assist. On motorways and well-marked cross-country roads, Travel Assist can automatically keep you in lane and maintain a steady speed of up to 210 km/h for more relaxed driving. Among other things, Emergency Assist combines the lane keeping function of Lane Assist with the Stop and Go functions of Adaptive Cruise Control. This means potential dangers can be reduced if the driver is suddenly impaired. If there is no activity on the accelerator, brake or steering, the system can initially react with an acoustic warning and vibrations. If there is still no reaction, Emergency Assist activates the hazard warning lights and slows the vehicle to a stop, then drives it to the side of the road. The doors are then unlocked.

Your Caravelle eHybrid is smart, and understands what you want: with the standard-equipment IDA voice assistant, controlling your infotainment system is now even easier. Use voice command to select your favourite song, a contact from your address book, or make a call – all without being distracted. Simply say “Hello IDA” and state your wish – your Caravelle eHybrid will do the rest whilst you continue focussing on the road ahead.
IDA even understands colloquial formulations such as “I’m cold”, “Find a hotel somewhere nearby” or “Where can I eat Italian food in Hamburg?”. The assistant responds with specific questions in order to help you more quickly, and might even interrupt you if necessary. Digital microphones enable it to recognise whether the driver or the front passenger is speaking and adjust the individual air conditioning system accordingly, for example. IDA also presents itself in visual form on the infotainment screen so that interactions can also be followed in the form of graphics.
And for even more convenience on the road, you can access the artificial intelligence of ChatGPT – perfect for conducting some quick research, finding useful information, or simply looking for relaxed entertainment on longer drives.
App-Connect
Infotainment and entertainment for every occasion
For convenient use of apps and content, the App-Connect is ideal. Music, news, maps or audio books are transmitted to the display of the infotainment system and can therefore be used within your field of vision. Two interfaces are possible for connecting smartphones: Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. The optional Discover Media navigation system features wireless connectivity, making it especially convenient to use.
